Presentation 1

Next week will see your groups doing their first presentation. The 2 presentations will make up a large chunk of your research and planning mark for your project so it is important you prepare for it.

Below are the things that need to be included in this first presentation:

  • Introduce your group
  • Summarise your main findings from the research stage
  • What are the key issues regarding regeneration?
  • Initial ideas for your project? Location, idea, possible products etc.
  • What you are going to do next.

This is only a basic guidance, you are able to include other aspects. The specification says:

"presentation to your client explain the reasons for your choice, providing detailed and realistic assessments of the strengths and weaknesses of your treatments within a media context.  Gather feedback from your client."

For this presentation, I AM your client.

THE RULES
  • Your PowerPoint (if you use one) must NOT be pages of writing that you just read.
  • Each slide must have fewer than 20 word on it
  • Images and visual examples are encouraged.
  • EVERY group member MUST speak durning the presentation and contribute to the presentation planning.

The rest of the class will provide feedback via note sheets. These comments must be used to further/continue in your planning.

Marking:
I will be marking your presentation on the following things:
  • How well it is linked to the brief.
  • How clear you are regarding target audience
  • Clear understanding of the issue and your research.
  • Presentation style (just reading of PPT or paper with little engagement will be less successful than eye contact with audience, notes, engaging visuals, clear speech).
